We had the absolute pleasure of touring Nagasaki with Sho — or “Showtime,” as we affectionately called him — and what an unforgettable experience it was. Sho’s vibrant and positive energy was contagious from the start. He made our family feel so welcomed and cared for, with a level of attentiveness and kindness that was truly inspirational. Sho’s deep knowledge of Nagasaki was exceptional. He didn’t just guide us through the city’s highlights — he introduced us to hidden gardens and lesser-known gems that brought the city to life in such a unique and personal way. His passion for both the city and for making us feel at home was clear in everything he did. Flexible, insightful, and genuinely joyful to be around, Sho was more than just a guide — he felt like part of the family by the end. I honestly wish we could adopt him and bring him on every trip with us. If you're visiting Nagasaki, I cannot recommend Sho highly enough. He is truly a gem.

Hi Jeff! Thank you so much for your kind and amazing review. Although it poured rain on the day of the tour, thanks to all of you it turned into such a fun day that the weather didn’t stand a chance. “Fantastic tour around Nagasaki”

The tour included highlights of outside the Twenty-Six Martyrs Museum and Monument, St Philip Nishizaka Catholic Church, Fukusaiji Temple, Tateyama Air-raid Shelter, Suwa Shrine (which has a amazing line of Torii gates!), Nagasaki Park, Megane Bridge, a delicious curry lunch at 札幌スープカレー namiya, Kazagashira Park, Sofuku-ji Temple, Umezono Migawari Tenmangu (where there's a lion with sweets in it's mouth), Nagasaki Shinchi Chinatown and finally Site of the Former Dutch Trading Post on Dejima via the oldest iron bridge in Nagasaki. We also stopped at Fukusaya to buy freshly baked castella, Iwasaki Honpo Nishi-Hamamachi for the melt-in-the-mouth pork bun and パフェとグラタン専門店 ハワイ for matcha parfait. Armando was an excellent tour guide and I highly recommend him if you need one during a visit. He is friendly, knowledgeable and a great guide!

“A great tour around Nagasaki”

We are now back on the ship a bit tired and a lot happy. Hiro took us to all the places we hoped to go to. He explained so much to us regarding the sites and local culture. We maintained an appropriate pace to see things at our personal speed and still visit all the sites we wanted to see. Hiro is very good natured and easy to understand and truly gave us a personalized tour. Arigato gozaimasu Hiro I
