Hi there. My name is Akemi and call me Kimmie. I am a local guide of Sendai, Miyagi and new to this site. However, I’ve been providing guide services more than 2 years. I spent over 25 years abroad, including Australia, the US and Germany and came back to Japan in 2020. I would love to share how beautiful Tohoku, northern part of Japan. “Unforgettable Matsushima Tour”
We had a fantastic day trip to Matsushima from Tokyo with Akemi. She took us to places unlike anything we’d seen before and tailored the tour to fit the time we had there. Having lived in the United States, she speaks fluent English, which made communication seamless. Her laid-back personality made the experience relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable. My sixteen-year-old even enjoyed talking with Akemi, which is an accomplishment in itself. Matsushima is well worth the trip, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Japan. We did several private day tours during our stay, and our tour with Akemi was by far our favorite. If we had more time in Japan, we would have loved to book another tour with her to explore the sights of Sendai as well. Thank you, Akemi!

“Great tour of some of the highlights in Sendai”
Akemi was very knowledgeable about the history of Sendai Castle and Zuihoden--I learned a lot about the city's past and about Date Masamune and some of his successors. I also got a lot of great tips on places to go in town, places to eat, local specialties, and so on. Also, Akemi was great company and fun to chat with--highly recommended!
